Using Atlas Boost, you can create impactful dashboards that help you visualise key data in ways that enable fact-based decision making. For an overview of the dashboard feature, you can read our article Dashboards in Atlas.

Who can view and create dashboards?

You will need company admin access to create dashboards in Atlas Boost. If you are a company admin, you will see a dashboards interface that looks similar to the below image.

As a company admin you'll see the option in the top right part of the page to ADD DASHBOARD. You will also be able to make amendments to dashboards which have already been created.

Without company admin access, you can still have the option to view dashboards, but you won't be able to create new ones or amend them. As in the below image.

How to create dashboards

To create a dashboard, first you'll need to contact us via intercom. Click the chat icon in the bottom right hand of the screen and enter some or all of the following details:

  • Which process you'd like to be the focus for your dashboard

  • What data points you'd like to be included

  • What context you'd like your dashboards to filter by

  • How would you like to display the data, for example:

    • Bar graphs

    • Pie charts

    • Tables

    • Line graph

You can get as granular as you'd like or keep things top level. If you have any questions about what you can include, feel free to ask and we'll provide you with the information you need!

Creating a dashboard card

Once we've received your request and done the back-end work necessary, we'll provide you with a Dashboard Reference. Once you have this, go ahead an click the Add Dashboard button in the Dashboard section of Atlas Play.

From here you'll see a screen similar to the one shown below:

The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are essential. Be sure to copy the Dashboard Reference we've provided exactly as is into the 'Dashboard Reference' field.

You can use the Select Role drop down to specify which user roles are able to view the dashboard. Multiple users can be selected, and if no user roles are specified, anyone in the workspace can view the dashboard.

Once you've completed the configuration, hit Save and voila, your dashboard card will be ready to view in the main dashboard section. Anyone with the correct user access can see the card and hit view at this point, however only company admins will be able to edit.

Editing a dashboard card

If you are a company admin, you can click on the three dots icon at the top right of the dashboard card, from there you can Edit or Remove the dashboard.

If you choose Edit, you will see a screen similar to the one you see when you're creating a dashboard.
